Privacy policy
Last updated November 8, 2026
This policy covers barometernow.com, run by Appcellent Yazılım Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi (“Appcellent”, “we”). Short version: no accounts, no advertising, no tracking cookies.
What we collect
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use the approximate location Cloudflare derives from the IP (city level) only to pick the nearest weather station for the home page; it is not stored by us.
- Exact location (optional). If you press “Use my exact location” or “Find my elevation”, your browser asks for permission. Coordinates are rounded and sent to our server only to find the nearest weather station; the elevation finder uses them in your browser and requests one terrain map tile from Amazon Web Services, which reveals the approximate area of that tile to AWS. We do not store your coordinates.
- Preferences. Your chosen pressure unit is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
What we do not do
We do not sell data, show ads, build profiles or use third-party tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, this page will say so before it starts.
Third parties
Cloudflare (hosting), NOAA Aviation Weather Center (weather data, requested by our server, not your browser) and Amazon Web Services (terrain tiles, requested by your browser only when you use the elevation finder).
Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR, KVKK and similar laws you can ask what personal data we hold and ask us to delete it. Because we keep almost none, the answer is usually “nothing”. Contact support@barometernow.com.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes.
